In the Capture Your 365 group that I'm following along with, today's challenge was to use a wide open aperture. So I did.
In truth, because this is just how it goes with my POTD, sometimes the day slides by before I realize that I didn't take a picture. Today, for example, I had planned on bringing my camera to the library with Sammie after school. Forgot. Night fell and it grew dark and cold and my options began slimming rather quickly. Plus, if you've been to my house, you know we have The World's Worst Lighting. Not good for photographing anything.
So here it is, almost bedtime, the kids were getting overtired and cranky. I remembered my picture. I panicked. Then I thought. I came up with an idea....
I love that the focus is clearly on the word "photographer". I did no editing to this picture, except a few tweaks with coloring. This is purely aperture.
Then I sat down at the dining room table where my darling daughter was reading a book. I couldn't help myself.
I shot these with the focus on her eyes, in particular, her eyelashes.
Then when I was editing it, I thought, hmm... what would it look like in B&W? Gasp.
So now you can see my predicament. Just an average day, scrounging around for my picture of the day. I end up with too many.
Which one would you choose?
